Pride Parade Application Form

The NPS Pride Parade takes place at 11:00 am on June 14th, 2026.

Have you read and agree to our Safe Space Policy?

Participants can now register and pay to secure their spot in the 2026 Nanaimo Pride Parade. Please review the categories below to determine the best Applicant Category for your company, self or group.

1. Individuals / Walkers For individuals or small groups not affiliated with a business or formal organization who wish to walk in the parade.

2. Motorcycle Riders / Groups For individual riders or organized motorcycle groups participating in the parade.

3. Business: Small / Independent Locally owned, small businesses, artisans, and independents.

4. Business: Medium / Provincial Businesses based in British Columbia with multiple locations.

5. Business: Large / National Businesses that operate across Canada.

6. Non-Profit, Charity, Community Group, Club: Small Organizations based in British Columbia with one location.

7. Non-Profit, Charity, Community Group, Club: Large Organizations with multiple locations in Canada.

8. Government Agency, Political Organization, or Union Includes municipal, provincial, or federal government agencies, political parties, and unions.

Once you have found your category, you must decide what type of entry you will organize:

  • Will you have a vehicle or just walkers?

  • How many people will be in your float?

Frequently Asked Questions

All applications are reviewed, acceptance is based on space and our ability to curate the experience.

All registrations are applications until reviewed and accepted.

Due to limited space in the park, we can’t welcome everyone, but we’re committed to curating a festival that reflects the diversity, creativity, and strength of our community. We prioritize 2SLGBTQIA+ applicants and aim for a wide range of products, services, performances, and offerings.

Not accepted? No worries — registration fees are refunded 100% ASAP.

Once accepted, you’ll receive full event details, schedules, and participant info.

I am a peformer, where can I apply?

When is the Pride Parade?

The parade will take place in downtown Nanaimo on June 14th, 2026 at 11:30 am.  Parade registrants will receive more information on where to meet and the parade route closer to the date.  The Parade route starts in the Old City Quarter

What should I do if I need to cancel my participation after applying?

Please email parade@nanaimopride.ca as soon as possible. Please note that all refunds are subject to a 50% administration fee. Your fees become non-refundable after May 15th, 2026.

Can I distribute flyers or promotional materials during the parade?

If your material aligns with the NPS safe space directive and you have paid to pariticipate in the parade you may hand out material.
