Nanaimo Pride Week 2026
Registrations Now Open

Nanaimo 2026 Pride Parade & Festival

30 Years of Pride. 10 Years of Celebration.

In 1997, Nanaimo’s first Pride march took to the streets as a protest, and a powerful act of visibility, courage, and community.

Now, 30 years later, we’re still here. Still proud. Still showing up.

This year marks 10 incredible years of the Nanaimo Pride Parade & Festival event as we know and love it today — a joyful, expressive, vibrant and collective celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ lives, love, and resilience in the heart of Nanaimo.

From protest to parade, from resistance to celebration, Pride in Nanaimo has always been about community, and you’re invited to be part of this milestone year.

The Big Day

Sunday, June 14 Parade departs at 11:00 AM from the Old City Quarter, winding through downtown Nanaimo and finishing at Maffeo Sutton Park

Pride Festival: 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM at Maffeo Sutton Park

Register to Be Part of Pride

All registrations are applications until reviewed and accepted.

Due to limited space in the park, we can’t welcome everyone, but we’re committed to curating a festival that reflects the diversity, creativity, and strength of our community. We prioritize 2SLGBTQIA+ applicants and aim for a wide range of products, services, performances, and offerings.

Not accepted? No worries — registration fees are refunded 100% ASAP.

Once accepted, you’ll receive full event details, schedules, and participant info.
