June's Reaching Out Nanaimo meeting is Wednesday, June 4th, 7 PM! It's our PRIDE celebrations... come dressed in your PRIDE get-up! IT'S MOVIE NIGHT: Celluloid Closet. Released in 1996, The Celluloid Closet is a brilliant, light-hearted documentary about homosexuality in mainstream, mainly Hollywood movies. Tracing the evolution of the entertainment industry's role in shaping perceptions of LGBTQ people in the 20th century, this award-winning film boasts witty, often campy commentary by well-known writers, directors, actors and comedians. To name just a few of the contributors: Lily Tomlin, Whoopi Goldberg, Quentin Crisp, Shirley MacLaine, Tony Curtis, and Gore Vidal. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Come early, grab a coffee or tea, and enjoy popcorn snacks. It promises to be a 'Gay Ole Time!'
