Celebrating 10 year anniversary of bringing LGBTQI+ refugees to safety.
This year’s Picnic en Blanc features several exciting additions. Dinner is now fully catered by Bees Knees Catering, with both chicken and vegan options available — all dairy-free and gluten-free.
Guests will enjoy fresh mocktails (one complimentary with every ticket), a 50/50 raffle, and a new crowd-judged hat contest that invites attendees to compete in three categories: Best Hat with a Message, Best Hat with Pride, and Best Classic Garden Party Hat, with prizes generously donated by Hoxton Home, Modo Yoga Nanaimo, and Burnt Honey.
The evening begins with live strings and a complimentary mocktail upon arrival, followed by a seated dinner. Before dessert, a newcomer sponsored by ROAR (Reaching Out Assisting Refugees Society) will share their personal story — a moment organizers describe as the heart of the event. The night…
