Nanaimo Pride has created this directory for our community to help make life a little easier. If you have a service to add or run a queer-owned business please reach out to us

AVI Health and Community Services
AVI Health and Community Services (AVI) is a community-based AIDS Service Organization (ASO). We have offices in the communities of Greater Victoria, Westshore, Nanaimo, the Comox Valley, and Campbell River. Our catchment area includes all of the Gulf Islands. At AVI Health and Community Services they provide education, advocacy and support clients. AVI provides education and prevention information to schools, the broader community and target populations. Evidence demonstrates that comprehensive prevention programs can help to effectively contain HIV, Hepatitis C and other communicable diseases.

The Vancouver Island Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Society
The Vancouver Island Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Society (VPWAS) is the only peer based HIV/AIDS organization on Vancouver Island, and has been providing peer support, Peer Navigation, education and treatment information to persons living with HIV/AIDS for over 25 years.

CATIE strengthens Canada’s response to HIV and hepatitis C by bridging research and practice. We connect healthcare and community-based service providers with the latest science, and promote good practices for prevention and treatment programs. As Canada’s official knowledge broker for HIV and hepatitis C, you can count on us for up-to-date, accurate and unbiased information.

We live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples – Snuneymuxw, Snaw-naw-as, and Stz’uminus – and pay respect for that privilege. Huy ch q’ua.

We have so many exciting things going on, be the first to find out!
